The National STEM Movement was established by passionate academics from institutions of higher learning who were very concerned about the declining performance in science and mathematics among students in both secondary schools and universities. It's mission is to nurture greater interest and understanding in science and mathematics among students from primary and secondary schools. The Movement is led by Prof Dato' Dr. Noraini Idris, Deputy VC of Univerisiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). Supported by fellow academics, industry partners, teachers and parents, the Movement works very closely with the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Ministry of Education (MOE) and Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI) and many industry partners.
"Design Technology is an important component of STEM, and the National STEM Movement would be keen to collaborate with Youth Made Malaysia to enhance skills in ideation and product development. The National STEM Movement would also like to invite YMM and its members to participate in its upcoming programs, in particular the STEM Exploration & Innovation Bazaar and the STEM Experiential Learning."
